Hot rolling generally refers to rolling of metal above the crystallization temperature. Compared with ordinary cast-rolled products, hot-rolled aluminum plates have good surface quality, strong mechanical properties and ductility, and good oxidation effect. The hot-rolled aluminum plates we produce not only have a smoother and finer surface, good deep drawing and oxidation effects, but also have a finished product width of up to 2650mm.

The difference between hot-rolled aluminum plates and cast-rolled aluminum plates (also called cold-rolled aluminum plates):
Cold-rolled aluminum plates are also called cast-rolled aluminum plates. The difference between cold-rolled aluminum plates and hot-rolled aluminum plates is from six aspects: price, billet supply, production process, performance, use, and finished products.

1. Price: The cold-rolled aluminum plate process is simple and the price is cheaper than the hot-rolled aluminum plate.

2. Different billet supply: The difference between the two is that the billet supply is different.
Hot-rolled material: aluminum ingots--melting and casting into flat ingots--milling--homogenizing annealing--hot rolling into plates and strips
Cast-rolled material: aluminum ingots--melting--rolling into plates and strips through a casting and rolling mill.
Compared, cast-rolled materials have high production efficiency, but defects such as component segregation and inclusions are not easy to solve, and the quality is not as good as hot-rolled materials;

3. Different production processes: cold rolling is processed by a casting and rolling machine into a cast roll (8mm thickness) and processed by a cold rolling machine, while hot rolling is heated by an aluminum plate ingot (400-500mm thickness) and rolled by a hot rolling mill at high temperature;

4. Different performance: hot-rolled aluminum plates have good surface quality, strong mechanical properties and ductility, and good oxidation effect;

5. Different uses, cold-rolled aluminum plates are mostly used for molds, and hot-rolled aluminum plates are suitable for stamping and stretching.

6. Difference in finished products: Usually the elongation of cold-rolled products is lower than that of hot-rolled products.
